Fumbling for bells and chimes. Do you remember?

It was never easy - until today.   And it sounds beautiful!

Fumbling for bells and chimes.  Do you remember?

It was always a standard sound demonstration over the years, everyone had to hear the chimes on the organ.  The demonstrator would ask “do you like to play hymns”?  Of course we would always say yes, as we didn’t want the world to think we were heathens!

It wasn’t always so easy though.  Some churches had a set of chimes that could be heard, mainly always used in a hymn or a “Call to Worship” in many cases. But in the “home organ market” it used to be a bit of a chore to find and get that “chime” sound, even if you actually had the sound somewhere.  Usually, it required multiple steps…

Turn this off, turn that off, now turn this on, add the sustain, pull this out, watch the limited area of play, make sure you….

It certainly wasn’t quick or easy – and then to go back to your original settings – well do the whole thing over again, now in reverse.  In the end, did this really ever produce a real Chime?

On today’s Bohm Sempra 3.0 Pro-Lib series, multiple chime samples are clearly available -and absolutely authentic, right there for your use. They’re able to be used as melody sounds, as backwound sounds, as effect sounds, and on and on for many applications.

At Bohm America, we like to have organ and chimes as one of our first demo examples because we just simply have to show it in a preset piston.  It’s always there.   And it can be copied.  Cut and pasted and used in other places quickly as well.

Additionally, if you're into bells, real Church bells can be heard ringing in different musical patterns, always readily nearby also. They are beautiful and so very authentic. Chimes themselves can surround you by way of our wonderful panning effect to the left, right or center.  Other bell sounds can act the same way.  All distinct, effected by weighted key touch sensitivities, and absolutely crystal clear.

Take time to listen to an old song we still use to this day on our Sound Demos page under Organ and Chimes to hear Bohm’s beautiful chime samples!
